SEÇMELİ DERSLER:

MIM 502 Analysis of Architectural Design Principles in Different Spatial Formations (3+0) 7,5

Within the scope of this course, architectural design criteria and spatial values are addressed as a whole. The relationships between the factors affecting spatial qualities and architectural design are examined. Students are expected to consider the architectural design principles and the variables affecting the spatial relationship in a multifaceted manner.

MIM 503 Social Structure Spatial Structure Interaction (3+0) 7,5

Within the scope of the course "Social Structure-Spatial Structure Interaction", the role of social structure dynamics in the emergence of spatial values will be analyzed. Students are expected to examine in detail the situations and forms of influence of social dynamics on spatial formations.

MIM 504 Innovative Approaches to Architectural Design (3+0) 7,5

It is a course that aims to discuss innovative approaches that develop in architectural design with technology through buildings and architectural readings. It covers architectural design analysis methods and applications in order to ensure that students become aware of the relationship between current architectural practice and technology and to look at the built environment with an analytical and questioning eye.

MIM 505 Computational Design Theory and Applications (3+0) 7,5

This course covers the theoretical background of computational design as a design method, analog and digital approaches on this subject, and current computational design applications. Computational design topics such as algorithmic and parametric design, generative systems, nature-inspired design, performance-based design, responsive architecture, computer-aided manufacturing are discussed through relevant readings and applied projects.

MIM 506 Social Contexts in Architectural Design (3+0) 7,5

The course aims to increase the knowledge, awareness and experience of professionals responsible for the field of architectural design for the protection of fundamental human rights and freedoms of life. The course aims to encourage the questioning of the comprehensive relationship of space with social contexts and the development and implementation of architectural and urban design solutions that will respond to the needs for the protection and development of social rights and freedoms.

MIM 507 Flexibility in Architectural Design (3+0) 7,5

This course aims to develop systems used to create flexible spaces in architecture. For this purpose, different design proposals will be developed and their spatial advantages will be examined. In terms of the feasibility of the proposed systems, building materials, load-bearing elements, capacities, loads and system details will be investigated.

MIM 508 Traditional Turkish House Architecture and Spatial Features (3+0) 7,5

This course will cover the topics of Cultural Heritage, Historical Environment and Rural Architecture. It aims to determine the unique characteristics of rural architectural heritage and the historical environments in which it is located, and to decide on the measures to be taken to protect these unique characteristics. Within the scope of the course, studies will be conducted to examine the data such as cultural and geographical characteristics, traditions, climate, natural environment that play a role in the formation of rural architectural heritage, and to document rural architectural heritage. Students are expected to carry out detection and implementation studies for the protection of rural architectural heritage, taking into account the legal regulations regarding the protection of cultural heritage.

MIM 509 Conservation Theory and Historic Environmental Protection Practices (3+0) 7,5

In this course, approaches to conservation throughout history, national and international legal regulations will be discussed. In the light of these regulations, holistic conservation practices will be examined in order to protect and sustain historical environments. The aim of the course is to increase the equipment of professionals who want to specialize in conservation on the subject of historical environment and to teach historical environmental conservation methods.

MIM 510 New Building Design in Historic Environments (3+0) 7,5

Within the scope of this course, research will be conducted on new structures designed in historical environments in the world and in Turkey. Relevant legal regulations affecting new structure design processes in historical environments, historical urban context, design area characteristics, new structure functions will be examined. In line with the examinations made under these headings, the formation processes of new structure designs will be determined and as a final product, it is expected that a new construction design proposal will be developed in the context of the historical city.

MIM 511 Rural Architectural Heritage and Sustaining Rural Areas (3+0) 7,5

Within the scope of this course, it is planned to document the rural settlement order and architecture shaped by the historical, geographical, topographical and demographic characteristics of rural areas with tangible cultural heritage value and to present suggestions for the continuation of the existence of the examined rural area.

MIM 512 Central Asian Turkish Art and Architecture (3+0) 7,5

The aim of the course is to provide information about Central Asian Turkish art and architecture and to conduct an aesthetic examination. The development stages, formation process and development of Central Asian Turkish art and architecture will be examined in the course.

MIM 513 Space, Light and Meaning in Architecture (3+0) 7,5

Within the scope of this course, the spatial, structural and semantic aspects of light in Space will be discussed and the Space-light relationship in different cultural environments in the history of architecture will be analyzed.
